Manchester City in takeover bid

Premier League side Manchester City is the latest soccer club in England to find itself the subject of a takeover bid.

Club chiefs confirmed during its annual general meeting an investor had approached them and negotiations were continuing.

No details of who is behind the bid have been revealed, but the takeover bid is valued at around £70m.

The move comes as Liverpool continue its negotiations with Dubai International Capital over a proposed £450m takeover.
