Jets sack coach

Nick Theodorakopoulos was yesterday dismissed from his position as coach of A-League club Newcastle Jets after a poor start to the season.

The Jets have not managed to post a win in any of the 13 matches they have played this season since Theodorakopoulos took over from Richard Money.

Assistant coach and former Socceroo Gary van Egmond will take over the misfiring Jets who are entrenched at the bottom of the A-League ladder with three draws and four losses.
