Carbone Dumped

Sydney FC has decided to pull the plug on any deal with Benito Carbone claiming the two parties could not come to a financial agreement to extend his stay beyond the four week guest stint both parties had already agreed too.

Earlier in the week, MRI scans revealed that Carbone had a grade two hamstring tear after being injured in the 3-1 loss to Central Coast last Friday.

Negotiations then broke down for Carbone to become Sydney’s marquee player despite scoring two goals in three games for the defending A-League champion.
