Queensland Roar FC Vs Adelaide United FC
Adelaide United FC has the Queensland Roar FC in their sights after posting two big home wins in the past fortnight.
John Kosmina’s side was too good for Perth Glory FC, the one time power of Australian soccer 3-0 at Hindmarsh stadium last week, that win followed on the back of a 5-0 demolition job on the Newcastle Jets.
Adelaide snapped a two game losing streak to start the season after winning the preseason cup competition.
Expected to be one of the main players again after winning the minor premiership last season, Adelaide failed to cope with a busy early season schedule and now after two games at home, Kosmina is confident his side can bridge the gap on league leader Melbourne Victory FC.
No easy task for Adelaide United FC who take on Miron Bleiberg’s Queensland Roar who have won three from four and are yet to taste defeat this season.
The Roar thumped the New Zealand Knights FC 5-0 last week, after a disappointing first half the Queenslander’s hit their straps after the break with goals coming thick and fast.
Both teams have the potential to challenge the competition powerhouse club Sydney who have yet to hit their straps after the opening month of the season.
Friday night’s match at Suncorp Stadium will tell us more about the championship credentials of both clubs.
Can Adelaide snap a two match losing streak on the road this week or will Miron and his men Roar with a third straight win at home.
Interestingly, both teams beat Perth Glory FC 3-0 at home and both teams have scored 5-0 wins in a season that is just four weeks old.
