Qu gets two match ban

Adelaide United's Chinese import Shengquing Qu was handed an additional one-match suspension today for head-butting Queensland captain Chad Gibson in their round five clash that ended 0-0 at Suncorp Stadium last week.

Qu was automatically suspended for one game for receiving a red card but must now serve a second match after a disciplinary hearing in Sydney today saw an additional one-match ban imposed on the 31-year-old forward.

Qu, who was fined an undisclosed amount by his club, will now be missing from the Adelaide side when they host both Sydney FC and Central Coast Mariners FC at Hindmarsh Stadium.
