Gumprecht to miss six

Central Coast Mariners midfielder Andre Gumprecht will be sidelined for six weeks after he suffered a grade two tear of his medial ligament in the Mariners' 1-0 defeat to Melbourne Victory last night.

The former Perth Glory midfielder will be sorely missed by Lawrie McKinna’s side who has just the one point after four games.

McKinna acknowledged the pressure was on to pick up some points with games against New Zealand and Newcastle in the next fortnight.

No small feat for the mariners who are yet to score a goal this season.
