Carbone not fit

Sydney FC and Italian striker Benito Carbone appear to be at loggerheads after the club officials questioned his level of fitness.

The former English Premier League and Serie A player was expected to be signed up after arriving last week to begin a four match guest stint for the reigning Hyundai A-League champions.

Carbone is still expected to be signed as Sydney’s ‘Marquee Player’ replacing Dwight Yorke who returned to England to continue his career alongside former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane who has taken over at the Black Cats.
