Queensland Roars

26th August

The Queensland kicked off their 2006-07 Hyundai A-League campaign with a 3-0 first up win over the Perth Glory at Suncorp Stadium.

The Roar scored three goals in the final 10 minutes through Simon Lynch, Dario Vidosic and Stuart McLaren.

In the space of six frantic second half minutes the Queensland Roar had turned this game on its head to give the 20,606 strong home crowd plenty to cheer about.

Ante Milicic disposed defender Tyler Simpson to set up Lynch for the opening goal before Vidosic doubled the advantage.

McLaren, a second half substitute, ensured Miron Bleiberg’s men would get all three points when he slotted home the Roar's third.

Queensland Roar 3 (Lynch 79, Vidosic 81, McLaren 85)
Perth Glory 0
Crowd: 20,606
